Be still

Hello gorgeous souls. I hope you all had a nice Christmas. I have been off work for a week now but I have been keeping myself quite busy. Until my body forced me to take time to rest and kept me in bed. I understood that I just needed to be finally still, not running around, rushing and catching up but just stay still for a bit. So I did stayed in bed, surrounded by hot water bottles and aromatherapy oils. Suddenly I appreciate that stillness which I have avoided for a long time. It was so good to simply read a book and take a nap. It was good to go with a flow, accept how I felt and what I needed.

My first wreath. It is fun to make things with using seasonal abundance of nature.

Draft of the new painting.
Photos from the trip to Loch Lomond.

  1. Get better quick and stay rested as much as needed, time in bed with good books is wonderful, so rest and keep warm! Beautiful photos, such a stark and simple beauty!

  5. Hello, lovely Aga! Such beautiful photos and a great start to your painting. I bet your wreath smells good!

I hope your Christmas was good as well! Isn't it funny how sometimes our bodies have to tell us to be still? I'm not always good at listening to that and then everything comes crashing to a halt. I hope you are feeling much, much better and have been able to contemplate the beauties and joys of this ending year and ponder what you are wishing for the coming year.

I really appreciate your friendship and all of your encouragement and kind words. Wishing us both much joy and love and beauty in 2015!

  13. Your wreath is lovely. Last year for the first time I made a wreath out of holly which grows in abundance in my yard. It was a "bloody" challenge but worth it. Wishing you peace , stillness and naps in the new year.
