The gifts of nature I

Hello beautiful souls! Autumn is here. It has been a quite hard few weeks with lots of ups and downs. I decided to slow down a bit with amount of work which I am taking to be able to connect with myself again, with my needs and creativity. I did my last workshop at The New Earth Works. It was an interesting and inspiring in many ways experience. The most important was creating simple works using natural materials which gave me a sense of lost and found connection with nature. Also I have been working on commission painting for good few weeks now. It is nearly done and I cannot wait to start painting my pieces again.

Dry and wet

The last day of August. I am filling myself up with new inspirations and time. It has been beautiful ,sunny and warm day. I enjoyed getting my feet wet in surprisingly warm sea water.
I am ready for September and autumn's days to come.

Perception

More signs of autumn can be seen every day. Summer is still here but gradually is giving away space and time to autumn. It has been a very creative summer for me this year. I experienced creating with other people through workshops at The New Earth Works. This creativity brought lots of new ideas and inspirations. I was inspired by nature and people who I was creating with. I also met a beautifully talented artist who happened to live just opposite to my place. Sometimes we do not have to look far. Sometimes inspirations and other gifts which we ask for are closer than we realize. Justyna introduced me to the printing techniques which I would like to practice in the near future. I love her perception of looking and understanding art. She sees through unseen and her perception of art is very inspiring as well.

I made this candle holder jar at The New Earth Works workshop. Appreciating summer gifts of nature and spontaneously creating a memory of it. 

Creative summer

It has been such a creative, experimental and busy summer so far. So many inspirations came and there is still so much to learn.
