Summer time...finally I feel connected and settled where we are. I took me a long time to find my way here (Scottish highlands). I learned though quite few mistakes. I do not try to fit anymore people and places where I do not belong with my heart. I understood that the best way to be happy is to follow my own pace and my heart.
I have got the feeling that maybe, maybe I will start painting again. One breath at the time...
wishing you all beautiful summer

It is time of the year when there is so much daylight, when there is so much blossom and greenness everywhere. Time of warmth. Beautiful time to be born. Elliot is 1 now. 12 months have passed.

12 months of endlessly growing love, joy and....exhaustion. 12 months of learning new life, finding balance between holding and letting go, following my intuition. 12 months of bedtime stories, singing, laughter and being together. Sharing every moment together, staying in the present. He is my teacher of mindfulness.12 months of many first: words (mama and tata which stands for daddy in Polish), strawberries, paintings and drawings, discoveries of the world around him, joy and laughter and first solo steps on his birthday. 365 days of saying 'I love you' and 'goodnight'. 365 days of gratitude for him, for this gift of life.
Thank you Elliot.

Family adventures

Elliot and I went to Edinburgh few weeks ago. It was a beautiful, little journey which we made together. Traveling with a child as a companion creates a special bond between parent and child, creates a special and unique memories. Every day is a journey and I am delighted to create memories with my son, together.

We had time full of play at playparks, museum and  Summerhall. We played, we laughed, celebrated spring in full blossom our first one, with many to come,  together...

I have so many thoughts which I would love to share. They come and go during the day when I am with Elliot. They all spread out somewhere in the corners of my memory at the end of the day. In the result of that the best will be to post gratitude list (the thought came during breastfeeding, the best time to unwind).
Gratitude list. April:

soda bread-my first ever,
bonfires, fossils and 'Autumn' by Ali Smith,
'20th century women' movie,
every single day and moment spent with Elliot,
grumpy days because then I appreciate happy ones,
being published in 'Juno' magazine

10 months

Elliot is 10 months now. 10 months of new life, new journey. My heart is full of happiness and gratitude. However there are days when I feel being exhausted would never stop. These months taught me to trust my instincts and follow my heart. It has been a lesson of new self and old self, of loneliness (living rural) and going beyond. It has been time of experiencing love every day.

Last painting I did during pregnancy. I have been sketching Elliot's portraits since he was born. They are my prints of love, tiredness (always sketching in the evenings), gratitude, fear of being not perfect. They are my prints of motherhood. They are my gifts for Elliot.

Hello dear ones. Sometimes I wonder will I be able to write about something different than motherhood. So far being a mum fills my life completely and everything is related to it, creating as well. We were visiting Edinburgh last week. I caught up with my women friends. Women as mothers, women who trying for a child, women occupied with their lives so much, women who closed their eyes and do not want to open them, happy women,  women who lost their tribe or maybe never had one, women who lost their courage to be who they want to be, women who are so strong and not even aware of their strengths, women artists, friends, lovers. We all are one at one point. We all have been there.
'There ain't no journey what don't change you some' (Cloud Atlas)

My works were recently published  at M.A.M.A (Mothers are making art). I feel honored and very happy to be there. I recommend so much reading an interview with Dyana who is a creator of Procreate project (M.A.M.A). Fantastic woman, beautifully speaks about life, art, motherhood and sisterhood.

Finally I proudly present art of my son. Because baby art matters, made with joy and love.

It is fascinating how fast we develop in the first months of our lives. We are incredibly eager, determined and curious to learn, to try. We love ourselves unconditionally and we are incredibly happy, to live.

I still cannot express how motherhood is powerful and how it opens me, puts people, life, things in different, better perspective and light, how it  teaches me to understand more and feel more.
The most important of all I am so very much  grateful  to be, to be a mother....

Happy New Year to you all!

January is a lesson, reminder that we constantly evolve, that nothing stays the same, that every new moment is a change. It is up to us to go with a change or try to resist it.  January is also a reminder of being lost and found again.

Being together always means a connection. There are endless ways of being together. An endless possibilities of relationships. Together for me means being with my family now, being with my son. Loving him, endlessly loving him. Sometimes I feel like every day of being with him is a lesson. He teaches me to love, to cherish, live in the moment,  kindness and patience.
His transition from spirit, to water baby, to infant, to 8 months now. Together.
To be together, to be light, to shine...
Thank you Elliot!
