I had an intensive week not as much with painting (I was a bit limited with time) as thinking what painting means to me. What painting means to me? Painting means a lot for me . Painting is a expressing love to myself and life. It is sharing myself with others and learning to love myself and life more. Painting is an endless lesson for me. It is a lesson of being aware and seeing more. Painting is like a meditation. It calms me down and make more patient. Painting is a way to save my memories. I am sure I will find more meanings through my painting journey. All these thoughts and meanings came to me during painting my last portraits.
What painting means to you?
Wonderful. There's something that really strikes me about the one of the man especially.
ReplyDeletenice work. what painting and art means to me is everything you said. it is my sanctuary, my therapy. :)
ReplyDeleteit truly is a blessing to have art in your life. 'A Godsend' some might say. I totally agree with what you say, painting strips away all the negative thoughts that occupy my mind and I always feel much happier and positive when i paint.

ReplyDeletehello,
ReplyDeletethese are both wonderful to see.
Mmm. I think painting to me means color... any color I want, as much of it as I want. :) And since I just attempted a self-portrait I'm not very happy with, today painting also means frustration. ;b But you inspire me to keep going and try again! <3
ReplyDeleteLove these. Beautiful work
ReplyDeleteAga, both portraits are beautiful. They both show such strength and peace! You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteI am usually a very calm peaceful person but when I paint I am even more so. I love to paint from memories and to create something that I think is beautiful. My paintings don't have to be technically correct for me to like them, they just have to bring a feeling of peacefulness. I am learning to really observe the world because of my paintings and that is a good thing. Have a wonderful weekend.
your portraits always "speak". They are about people and not about photographs in paint. I love your work and the post as well. HPPF
ReplyDeleteLove your paintings, they have its own story! My favorite is the last one ♥
ReplyDeleteVisiting other 29'ers today. Love your subtle palettes - so serene!
ReplyDeleteWonderful faces! I really like the man - is he enjoying music? the wind in his face? both?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Did you know you still have word verification/captcha on? It makes it extremely difficult for people to comment...
Dear Eva, I am really really sorry for this inconvenience. I did not know about that and to be honest I am not very good at things like this. So I apologize. Thank you very much for your comment.
