Wind of memories

Hey beautiful souls. I hope you enjoy beginnings of autumn, those  who live in the northern hemisphere. It became slightly colder, air is clearer, evenings are getting longer and longer and leaves are falling down. I love autumn! It is full of melancholy and nostalgia. Probably that is why I have been thinking about past so much recently. There are lots of memories which come and go, just like a wind. Memories from childhood, memories of my family and home. Autumn walks in the park when I was in the nursery, picking up leaves and chestnuts, my mum making pickles, my dad's smile, Christmas at grandparents house, joy after listening good music or reading a brilliant book, my old friends, places which I have been, playing outdoors when I was little, whispering a prayer before a sleep, favorite teddy which I put into bin because I decided to be grown up and I regret it so much now, my first cat and many, many more.Sometimes I am scared that I will not remember all those good and magical moments which have happened already. Painting definitely helps me to remember. Memories are very inspiring for me. My latest painting is a portrait of Scott. Scott surrounded by joy and coziness with his heart full of love and kindness. One memory of many saved on the canvas.
Love and blessings to you all.

  9. Lovely post about autumn and memories! I feel the same way. There is a certain excitement that comes with the changing of the seasons. It feels at once brand new and at the same time all of the memories of that season come flooding back.

Great portrait of Scott, too. And of your sweet cat.

    Hugs!

  13. Wonderful portrait, very strong, yet gentle at the same time.

I love autumn, possibly my favourite season. Wonderful walks through the fallen leaves, before they turn to slush. There's a nice warming curry on the go at the minute, and starting to think of casseroles and stews again after the salad days of summer.

  15. Beautiful painting. And beautiful text... as usual. I also love autumn and even when we are having a very long summer here, early in the morning I can feel the chill air that makes me think about it. I also think about past and about the fact that time has flown, now I am a medium-age woman (I still can´t believe it!) and I have left almost the half of my life behind me, how this could happen, I don´t know. But I also love this present moment, maybe because now I am able to be myself more than ever before. I want to thank you your kind comments on my blog in particular, the one about the colors on it and about my world, it really touched my heart. Much Love dear friend, have a wonderful week! xx

  17. i found your post very touching. i know what you mean about memories emerging especially during the autumn. when the light and weather change, the inner cauldron is stirred, early memories mix with current life, and sometimes give a dream like experience. art certainly is a wonderful way to touch these spots. lovely work, Aga.

  18. I share these same feelings about Autumn. It is so overwhelmingly beautiful, rolled into a time to reflect about what has happened in the past. I am glad you could capture one memory on canvas - it is marvelous

  19. It is wonderful to read about Your memories and a way to remember. I can see all what You are telling.
Man in Your painting is dreaming. I like that painting.

It is strong wind here and all leaves fly with wind and then to side of rocks and stones. It is amaising to look at but I don't want go out now.

  23. Fabulous post and great portrait, Aga! Thanks for taking me on your trip down memory lane...painting is a great way to keep the memories alive. I love illustrated journaling for the same reason.

We are now in the last month of spring and we've had some very hot weather and storms too. I'm not looking forward to our unbearable summer heat and humidity.

Anywhoo, have a wonderful weekend. xx
