Create

I have realised, experienced and became more aware of two important aspects in my life over recent days. The first is the awareness of creation. Creation exists everywhere and we can always be creative regardless of what we do. The most important are our thoughts when we do things. We create everyday even if we do not realise it. We create our lives, days, relationships, sleep, meals, thoughts, rest, art, work etc. We constantly take a part in the process of creation. Our thoughts are like tools which help us to create. Create life which you would like to have and be aware that you are creator.
The second is time. I have been busy and occupied with my daily work recently. When I finally stopped, my body completely collapsed. I did not have any energy to do anything. My body reminded me to create time to rest. The body, mind and spirit are inseparable. One always stimulates and affects another. One turns out energy of another. They are like parallel worlds.
It has been a beautiful, sunny and extremely hot day. Real summer! I have been walking with bare feet on the grass and that was a beautiful moment of the day. It is a peaceful evening now. Energy is cooling down and I can feel the evening breeze and hear the magical sound of summer wind.' Another opportunity for healing. Life is serving up another portion of bliss' as Sarah Ban Breathnach wrote.
Regardless of how summery I feel now I could not describe my paintings as summery ones. However they do express me now. I feel peaceful and distant sometimes. I am on a journey to my inner self.

  1. Walking on the grass in bare feet.... nothing nicer in the whole world!
The fact your works don't say summer doesn't matter at all Aga, they radiate atmosphere and when I look at them I see Northern Scotland where even in Summer the tones are purple with the bloom of the heather, beautiful work.

  6. Your work is lovely Aga. Your paintings illustrate your words perfectly. Thank you for sharing your journey. I think the awareness that we are creating the life we live is so important. When I realized that, it made even the simple decisions I make each day seem so much more important.

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. You always leave me with a lot to think about.

  10. I was thinking along the same lines too this week. Love your serene landscapes and the feeling of bare feet on grass too. Create away my friend....and do take the time to just wander and do nothing too. Good advice - time to rest. xox

  15. Oh... this is so beautiful and so true. We all are creative and creators, mainly creators of our own lives. Many persons think that they are not creative but this is because we have a very restrictive vision of creativity linked to some artistic disciplines.

I´ve been dealing with time issue too, I also have been very busy and have felt that my priorities are not always correct. As in your case, my body is my best compass. When I don´t manage well my emotions and I don´t pay attention to my soul, I always end up listening to my body and if I don´t listen to it, it starts to shout most of the time through a kind of physical collapse that I have learnt to recognize like something deeper than a health failure. This is the wonder of the inner journey, one finds amazing and unexpected connections between things, isn´t it?.

Have a wonderful week, your paintings reminds me the mountains of the isle where I was born

  16. Wonderful post, Aga. I feel the same way and lately and although I haven't been creating as much art as I would like to, I have been creative in so many other aspects of my life in a very conscious way and it feels wonderful.

These paintings are gorgeous, by the way!

Happy summer and hugs to you!

  18. Incredibly peaceful--and it always amazes me that a really good monochrome painting gives the impression of color--beautifully done!
