Colour

Creative Every Day theme for April is 'Colour'. I asked myself what are colours to me? First thought in my mind which appeared was : colours are feelings, colours are emotions. I always strongly believed and felt that we can describe not only thoughts but also emotions by colours. This what I am trying to do when I paint. I use colours which describe my feelings, my soul, my energy channels. Sometimes I do not know even why I choose to use particular colour I just feel it in me.  During painting my last portrait an idea and need of using colours which are somewhere in my mind and heart now came to me. There is lots of blue in me now, lots of dark blue. There is also lots of yellow, orangy, red colours behind me. These colours are like warm and protective blanket for my spirit. I am so grateful that we can communicate by using colours as well. Colours speak, represent and symbolise. Colurs are another beautiful gift from life.

  1. Aga, I always read and reread what you post. You always have something important to tell me and I want to be sure to listen.
Your self-portrait is beautiful and I can see and feel the protective blanket behind you. This is a wonderful piece of work.

When my husband was sick I seemed to paint with brighter colors. Now, that things are back to "normal" I seem to be attracted to softer colors once again. I am thinking that during the trying time I needed the energy of the bright colors and now that things are better I am happiest with the peaceful feeling that color can bring to me. Thank you for helping me to sort this out.

I have had experiences on my journey many times where colors have come in and healed and shifted me..awakened me..ignited me..colors are magical!lately I have been needing subtle soft colors..other times..bold and dramatic..it is amazing what we need at different times on the path! Beautiful art..super gorgeous words and sharings! thanks for sharing your spirit and shining your magic!

  20. Love the idea of the protecting blanket of warm colours :-) I use colours quite intuitively most of the time. I chose them after how I feel about them.
The detail photo you posted has many of the colours that I really like, the earthen tones. I like to use them a lot and then add sprinkles of colours.

I wish you a happy PPF and lots of colour in your life
