Star stories, part III

Some stories are created by our hearts. They are based on our memories, experiences, thoughts and dreams. Some stories are created by others and become an inspiration, nourish and touch our hearts in some way. I found Tom's photograph when I was at the beginning of creating star stories. This photograph is called 'Starry night above Buachaille Etive Mor'. I painted a landscape based on it. I believe that the photograph and painting tell different stories and share the same one at the same time. For me it is a story about the place somewhere beyond where my spirit belongs.
Many thanks to Tom for a great inspiration.

Giulia

I am lucky to spend lots of time with children. One of my little friends is Giulia. I am not going to see her for a while so I painted this little piece for her. She likes colours, especially pink, flying kites and ice creams.
My gratitude list:
wildflowers,
more planting,
slowing down,
morning walk,
low roar music on sunday.

Weaving

Thoughts about weaving:

Weaving is a process. It takes time. It can be a relaxing retreat for yourself or your soul sisters. Weaving together is pretty magical.
Weaving is in and out- repetitive movement. The flow creates the whole piece.
My weaving is completely imperfect and maybe that is why I like it so much. Weaving reminds me life in itself. It is also a connection with nature and meditation.

Gratitude list:

wild chives, pineapple and banana cake,
sunny and warm days,
weaving,
morning walk,
watching flying kite with Giulia on the beach

My window view

Painting requires taking a risk, is like a jump into deep water. The moment of emerging to the surface is a pure happiness. Paintbrushes, paints, varnishes and canvases are tools to describe emotions, colours and forms instead of words.

Gratitude list:

Beginnings of painting 'My view'. My view is symbolic. It represents a dream, memory, place where we are planning to come back this summer.
